Ok, so the Leafs don't play today, but I have to tell you something.

Here's my picks for tonight's action.

World Juniors. Sweden 6 Canada 4. Sorry Canada but Sweden has been more consistently convincing. Better team play. More 1st round draft picks on their team, plus I just love Sweden, not only as a country, but as a concept.

NHL.

Pittsburgh vs Rangers.

Crosby has a sissy-fit last game. He thinks this will give his team a lift, kinda like when Jarome Iginla does it. Problem is it won't. Put yourself in his teamates shoes. They must just think he's a bit weird and irresponsible.

Pittsburgh has an 11-7-2 road record. Much better than their home record. However the Rangers have a 13-7-2 home record! Put the two together and divide by stuff, and then times that number by 2. What do you get? A tie!! This will go to a shoot-out. Crosby no points.

Islanders vs Edmonton.

Here's the thing. Isles have been playing a bit better lately. They have their main goalie guy back now. Dipietro or whatever his name is. They have been competing much more, shift by shift. So don't assume an oiler cake walk. The Oilers are not a freaking juggernaut.

Isles road record 5-15-2 . Oilers home record. 7-6-3.
Add up those two records and divide by "they both suck" and then times that number by 2, and then add the Isles recently found work ethic, and what do you get? A tie!! Two shoot-outs tonight!

Open up the bank book and start betting gang! This is can't miss! March down to your local OLG or Sports-select stand and bet your faces off!!

Enjoy the nights events. For superhockeygenius.blogspot.com, I'm superhockeygenius!!
Thank me later!
