Behind the guise of toughness....Burke destroys Leafs.

I'm sorry, but I thought we were re-building? What's wrong with having a young team lose 6-1, as opposed to a youngish team with Brad May in the place of Kulimen? I have a theory.

Brian Burke wants to lose bad. And what better way to do this than to send your two best skaters to the minors. Kulimen and Strahlman. Oh and here's another great addition to that scenario. Bring in a 37 year old Brad May to be a fighting side show for the fans, while we get our asses kicked!

Tell you what Burke. How about you take your arrogant attitude, and admit to the Leaf faithful that you are on a mission to tear apart this team. Make sure they don't flirt with a playoff spot, and hopefully flirt with last place over all. How else can you account for bringing in an old horrible player, and sending down a future piece to your future Stanley Cup winning team!

I thought Hollweg was bad. May is Hollweg plus attitude. If he wasn't so pre-occupied starting fights tonight and riling up the opposition, the Leafs might have stood a chance! What's up Burke? Tell the fans the truth. The fans have been here alot longer than you. Some are even older than you. I don't buy your "toughness" thing. We had a good young team going before you got here.

And now a new train of thought

Ban fighting. If you're only going to let "fighters" fight? Ban it. If you're only going to let a pre-arranged Hollweg or May fight with Laroque or something, then ban it.

I speak of the moment in the game that Grabovski wanted to fight with Kostitsen. This was a real fight. It came from a real place of distaste! And the refs? They stopped it like they were trying to stop a gang fight. Why? Because "real" fighting doesn't happen in the NHL anymore. This means that any fighting in the NHL now is fake WWE style fighting, and thus useless. Good bye Brad May, Deveaux (who I liked for two games and now it annoys me that Devereaux is in the minors), Hollweg (so much worse than I ever imagined).

What's it gonna be Burke! Tell the people! Bringbackfletcher.com (I didn't reserve it or anything but if anyone wanted to it could be fun)

I hope I didn't diss Brian Burke just now! I'm just a Sheep, and have sooo much un-researched trust in his abilities. I just want to fit in , in the good-old-boys hockey scene. So much so that I really shouldn't be venting like this, it's very politically incorrect. I hope Rogers Communications and Bell approve of me doing this...

Bye. Go Leafs.

For superhockeygenius.blogspot.com, I'm superhockeygenius. Thank me later.
